Sexology

Sexology is the scientific study of human sexuality, including human sexual interests, behaviors and functions. Sexologists apply tools from several academic fields, such as biology, medicine, psychology, epidemiology, sociology and criminology.

Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation (PE) occurs when a man experiences orgasm and expels semen soon after sexual activity and with minimal penile stimulation. The causes of premature ejaculation are unclear. Many theories have been suggested, including that PE was the result of masturbating quickly during adolescence to avoid being caught by an adult, of performance anxiety, of passive-aggressiveness, and having too little sex. Scientists also suggest a genetic link to certain forms of premature ejaculation.

Loss of Libido

Libido, colloquially known as sex drive, is a person’s overall sexual drive or desire for sexual activity. Sex drive is influenced by biological, psychological and social factors. Apart from biological factors, social factors such as work and family, and internal psychological factors, like personality and stress, can affect libido. A lack or loss of sexual desire can adversely affect relationships. Changes in the sexual desires of either partner in a sexual relationship, if sustained and unresolved, may cause problems in the relationship.

Lack of pleasure during sex

Sexual anhedonia, also known as pleasure dissociative orgasmic disorder, is a condition in which an individual cannot feel pleasure from an orgasm or, while having sex. It is thought to be a variant of hypoactive sexual desire disorder.
