Mental fitness is the ability of the body and mind to work together to achieve emotional stability, mental clarity, calmness and physical strength.

Physical routines directly impact your mental health. Here are few tried and tested methods that you can try:

Breathing Easy

Breathing exercises are effective ways to shift our physical, mental, and emotional states. Coherent breathing helps our autonomic nervous system and our mind achieve a calm state.

  • Focus on your breathing pattern.
  • Inhale slowly, count to 4 - 6 seconds.
  • Exhale slowly, count to 4 - 6 seconds.
  • Repeat 5 times.

Practicing Yoga

Yoga helps the mind meditate, increasing awareness. It's great for the body too.

Taking a walk

It’s easier to be more aware of our bodies and be present in our surroundings while we're walking.

Getting a massage

Known to reduce stress, opt for hand, shoulder or foot massages.

Exercising

Helps keep your body fit and releases happy hormones in your brain, reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood by improving self-esteem and cognitive function.

Journaling

Journaling or penning down your thoughts can help reduce anxiety. It also helps you keep a track of your feelings, which you can review and introspect on later. The physical act of writing is in itself structuring and calming for your mind.

Experience physical and mental changes in your body by practicing these physical routines daily.
